St. Judas
Here’s the favorite whipping boy of the new covenant, who checked out scripturally before anyone could apply Jesus’ enemy loving philosophy to him. So can we, in good conscience still continue the whipping?

One response to “St. Judas”
Nothing (GOOD) is impossible for GOD, nothing. Thus we dare to hope, as VonBaltasar suggests in his title.
The possibility of a created free will rejecting God does not guarantee such a possibility is actualize. Likewise, the possibility of universal salvation does not intrinsically require its actualization. We can, and as i believe your meditation implies, should, hope for our salvation and that of others, especially those “most in need” of the Mercy of God, aka Jesus.
