Lost and Found

Just a wee babe
Born to darkness and pain
Midst poverty and danger
Yet a spark in the night
Demons who rule
Sought to smother the glow
Spirited from the land
To protect the wee king
‘Twas as if we lost Eden all over again

Returned to grow stronger
Followed his true path
Lad in the temple
Where first offered up
Sought for again
By loved ones who were lost
In sorrow they searched
For their precious young charge
‘Twas as if we lost Eden all over again

Walked uprightly, a man
Gathering those in need
Gave healing and wisdom
And bread who was he
Shadowy forces surrounded
Captured, sans struggle
Into their domain
End the life, hope, love
‘Twas as if we lost Eden all over again

Surrected from wherenether
Joyously touching; lovingly shepherding
Tenderly teaching
See beyond the seen
Time trickled away
Rose out of our sight
Wondered where we were
Where we were going to be
‘Twas as if we lost Eden all over again

Nine days to be known
Questions answered
Sorrowful comforted
Truth unveiled
In spirit and power
Descended and entered us
All that we saw
Was the love that we are
‘Twas as if we found Eden all over again
